Hi, I'm working on a site in development with a client of mine. We're using WP 2.9.2 and RB Internal Links 2.0.11.

I do my work on a Mac running Firefox, and when I'm editing a post or page the RB Internal Links button is visible in the editor.

However, my client who works on a Windows machine in IE7, cannot see the button in the wysiwyg editor. We've tried this on a couple of computers, with a couple of different administrative-level logins, and the problem occurs in both places.

I have a bajillion other plugins and functions, but anything I can do to help troubleshoot this, please let me know!

Hi, first of all really thanks for developing such a useful plugin.

I am somehow not able to get the plugin work. When i create a link in tynymyce editor, and publish the post. The shortcodes are displayed instead of links. Why is it so?

I've no other plugin activated.

I'll be thankful if you reply.

Thanks.

Hi there

thanks for the great plugin, I've been using it for a while now.

On the write post/page panel it would be great to have a checkbox list of Wordpress pages (maybe customisable, set in settings page?) in the right column, that can be checked on each page - and creates a list of links based on that. For example, on PAGE-A i want a list of links to other pages B, C, F and X. And on PAGE-B i would tick pages C, D and M.

I have been searching a way to do this for some time now, and cant seem to find ANYTHING out there. As RB Internal Links does something so similar and works well, i thought it might be a strong feature to add.

Please contact me if you want to expand on the idea.

I´ve recently installed RB internal links but I couldn´t see anything on the plugin popup. It was blank. Just the arrows at both sides.

I was nuts trying to make this thing work on my current WP setup until I decided to deactivate all my plugins and try one by one wich could be causing the bug. I found out that this plugin: WP-Cycle by Nathan Rice was causing the error. Don´t quite know how, but I had to turn it off in order to have RB Internal links working.

Any suggestions?!!

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

PS: the website of wp-cycle is the following: http://www.nathanrice.net/plugins/wp-cycle/

First off, great plugin, same feel as Mindtouch Deki which I am used to. The internal doc selector works fine.

What just doesn't work for me though is the processing of the links (short tags). The short tags end up displaying on my site instead of actual links.

I am running 2.9.1 and have several other plugins installed, including an "External Links" plugin. Not sure if that is causing a problem.

One plugin I installed required me to add some code to the functions.php file. Does your plugin require this?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

When I highlight a word or phrase that I would like to link to something else, I click on the icon in the editor for (RB IL). A box pops up, but never
completes and is blank. Black border, gray interior. Nothing else happens.

matthew.oriordan on "Deprecation warnings causing lots of problems"

When using the latest version of RB Internal Link checked 2.0.7 with version 2.8.6 of Wordpress, PHP5, and I get a load of deprecation warnings in the pop up from the TinyMCE editor, one example below:
Strict Standards: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in /[my folder]/wp-settings.php on line 666

This is because I have warnings turned on within my php.ini, but when using Wordpress this is not normally a problem (I assume because somewhere it turns off deprecation warnings) whereas within the window that pops up which loads your page, the warnings are shown. This makes it unusable and actually stops it from working when you click the insert link button.

So I added in the following 2 lines of code at the start of tinymce-plugin.php:

$current_error_reporting = error_reporting();
error_reporting ($current_error_reporting & ~E_STRICT);

And then add the following line of code at the bottom:

error_reporting($current_error_reporting);

And everything works fine now.

Hope that's of use to and anyone else who has this problem.

Surely it would be more useful to show links as links within the editor i.e. use normal anchor tags, and then insert a variable into the tag HREF which links to an internal page. You could also extend the standard hyperlink pop up and include the internal link editor there? That would be far more useful I believe. I could try and help if you want...
