Hi, RB. I have installed the debugbar toolbar and have it working.

I have turned off all of the plugins on my site in Wordpress 2.9.2, and then edited a Post in IE 7. No error messages came up. Then I turned on JUST RB Internal Links, no other plugins. In Firefox on my Mac, I can see the RB Internal Links button in the editor. But, in IE 7 on my Windows machine, I cannot. So that seems to rule out a plugins incompatibility.

When I go to edit a Post in IE 7 with RB Internal Links and no other plugins activated, here's the error message I'm getting:

Line: 21
Character: 5
Code: 0
Error Message: Expected identifier, string or number
Page: [myurl]/wp-admin/post.php?action=edit&post=589

RB, thanks very much for the advice. I am not able to do this today, but will definitely try to take care of it tomorrow (Tuesday) and get back to you with any useful results. I'm also going through a more general plugins-conflicts-testing process as we close in on launch, and so if that brings up any obvious conflicts I'll let you know so you can either proof your plugin against others' errors or let users know about the conflict.

Thanks again!

Hey scormeny,

If you get the chance, install http://www.debugbar.com/download.php, try to load RB Internal Links and post back any javascript errors it pops up.

I can check IE7 at work on Monday, but I think I'd have more complaints if it were an IE7 problem, so it is probably an incompatibility with something else.

Hi, I'm working on a site in development with a client of mine. We're using WP 2.9.2 and RB Internal Links 2.0.11.

I do my work on a Mac running Firefox, and when I'm editing a post or page the RB Internal Links button is visible in the editor.

However, my client who works on a Windows machine in IE7, cannot see the button in the wysiwyg editor. We've tried this on a couple of computers, with a couple of different administrative-level logins, and the problem occurs in both places.

I have a bajillion other plugins and functions, but anything I can do to help troubleshoot this, please let me know!

Hi Dandy,

Yup, that is the problem! Your post content hasn't gone through the regular content filters.

A simple fix is to change <?php echo $post->post_content; ?> to <?php echo do_shortcode($post->post_content); ?>

But you might want to look in to putting the echo'ing of the post into "The Loop" to avoid problems with other plugins later on. See http://codex.wordpress.org/The_Loop for more info.

Hi, first of all really thanks for developing such a useful plugin.

I am somehow not able to get the plugin work. When i create a link in tynymyce editor, and publish the post. The shortcodes are displayed instead of links. Why is it so?

I've no other plugin activated.

I'll be thankful if you reply.

Its unlikely the script would cause GLib errors unless you have a bug in your PHP setup. What version of PHP are you running, and is there any chance of upgrading/recompiling it?

This sounds more like a server configuration error than an issue with the plugin from the information provided.

Hi there

thanks for the great plugin, I've been using it for a while now.

On the write post/page panel it would be great to have a checkbox list of Wordpress pages (maybe customisable, set in settings page?) in the right column, that can be checked on each page - and creates a list of links based on that. For example, on PAGE-A i want a list of links to other pages B, C, F and X. And on PAGE-B i would tick pages C, D and M.

I have been searching a way to do this for some time now, and cant seem to find ANYTHING out there. As RB Internal Links does something so similar and works well, i thought it might be a strong feature to add.

Please contact me if you want to expand on the idea.

I´ve recently installed RB internal links but I couldn´t see anything on the plugin popup. It was blank. Just the arrows at both sides.

I was nuts trying to make this thing work on my current WP setup until I decided to deactivate all my plugins and try one by one wich could be causing the bug. I found out that this plugin: WP-Cycle by Nathan Rice was causing the error. Don´t quite know how, but I had to turn it off in order to have RB Internal links working.

Any suggestions?!!

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

First off, great plugin, same feel as Mindtouch Deki which I am used to. The internal doc selector works fine.

What just doesn't work for me though is the processing of the links (short tags). The short tags end up displaying on my site instead of actual links.

I am running 2.9.1 and have several other plugins installed, including an "External Links" plugin. Not sure if that is causing a problem.

One plugin I installed required me to add some code to the functions.php file. Does your plugin require this?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've had the same issue with my install (blank page inside the RB Internal Links 'popup'). If you're having HeadSpace2 installed that's the issue. But it's easily fixed :)

Open up headspace.php (inside the headspace folder) and go to #483. You see three lines with 'add_meta_box' below eachother. Above those lines you put
if ( function_exists('add_meta_box') ) {
, after those lines you put
}
.

For me the above made them play nice again :)

Hi Optimizer,

Sounds like you need to upgrade to PHP5. The plugin will only work on PHP5. If you speak to your host they should be able to sort something out, version 5 has been around for a long time now and php4 is no longer maintained.

Hi Palurie,

Admin access would help, even Editor access would probably do. As long as I can get to the wysiwyg box and "run" the plugin. From there I can debug things.

If you can set me up with access email the details to info@blograndom.com

I used it on a new blog (WP 2.9), and got an error message. Disabled all other plugins, and still got the error message; this is what it said (crossed out a part because of security/privacy reasons):

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/rb-internal-links/rb-internal-links.php on line 56

Hi RB!

I have used this plugin happily over multiple iterations, including the critical ones where none of my links worked and had to be reentered.

This time, RB Internal Links is the only plugin that is not working after the upgrade to 2.9. Unfortunately it is one of MANY plugins, and I just don't have the time to troubleshoot. The previously inserted internal links all still work, and it wlso works if I manually code it, but once the TinyMCE button is clicked, the window opens, but nothing loads in the window.

Would admin rights to one of the blogs help you? I have this plugin on a bunch of blogs and really have counted on its working!

Thanks
Peter

I've just tried it with 2.9 (I know, a little late on the upgrade) and it seems to be working well.

It may have something to do with another plugin you have installed? Do you get any errors in the Firefox error console? What happens if you try disabling all other plugins temporarily?

HI!
I am a longtime happy user of this plugin!

Many thanks.

However, I can't seem to get it to work with WP 2.9

Any ideas?

Thanks

When trying to activate the plugin I get this message:
"The plugin cannot be activated because it caused a fatal error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /home/(redacted)/public_html/wp-content/plugins/rb-internal-links/rb-internal-links.php on line 56"
Any information on what is causing this error, and if there's a way to fix it will be greatly appreciated. I'm using WordPress 2.8.6, spanish language version with the following plugins:
Audio Player, BM Custom Login, Lightbox 2, Register Plus
